At the Advanced Resource Technologies Development Laboratory we identify the feasibility of utilizing select byproduct streams as a raw material in the production of commercial products. If we are focused on a specific product, we will either acquire an appropriate byproduct or base our process on traditional raw materials.

We define the reaction mechanisms and unit processes required to utilize the byproduct. The Development Laboratory then employs pilot scale batch and continuous reactors; distillation systems; and associated analytical capability to validate the applied chemistry and develop equipment requirements/run procedures for plant scale operations.
